At Christian William, we produce handcrafted bespoke joinery and furniture to the finest quality, custom designed to each individual’s taste. Our passion is to create something beautiful, for you.

All our excellent craftsmanship is personally handmade in a workshop in rural Essex, just outside of Colchester. We take a simple piece of nature and craft something exquisite that will transform your home. From traditional sliding box frame windows to elegant walk-in wardrobes, from contemporary cabinets to curved staircases, we can confidently cater for all of your woodwork needs.

What we do

We have 12 years of experience in bespoke joinery and specialise in exquisite furniture, windows, doors and staircases. We particularly like designing innovative creations that could solve storage solutions, make a better use of space or are impressive to look at. Having ample experience in working on listed properties, we are highly skilled in matching traditionally styled buildings that require restoring as well. Whatever your woodwork need, we can cater for.

We have a strong commitment to our clients, understanding their needs and creating something they are proud of. We will personally visit our clients, offer an advisory service and 3D CAD drawings for their specific requirements all before commission.

Here are some examples of our woodwork transformations:

We were commissioned to resurrect this beautiful 15o year old oak framed barn into a garage and add a first floor mezzanine. We needed to carefully dismantle and then rebuild using as much of the original oak as possible. We used English Oak to replace parts in keeping with the character of the barn.

This was a request to replace a bay window on a grade 2 listed building, replicating original details and mouldings.

From start to finish, Christian William made it their goal to deliver exactly what I asked for. In order to utilise corner space as a wardrobe, I enquired with Christian as to what could be done. The outcome was better than I had envisaged. Every bit of space had been utilised including some dead space by the window due to a protruding curtain rail. This space is now being used as utility shelves, as they are big enough for a pair of shoes and deep enough to store towels.

Christian was able to advise me as to how many hanging rails I could have in the space provided in order to suit my needs; he were also able to incorporate my request for a pull out tie drawer while in keeping with the sleek and stylish look. The quality of materials and workmanship is obvious to see. I can only thank Christian for the quality of customer service and wardrobe that he has provided.
